What is FKM Rubber?
FKM, or fluoroelastomer rubber, is a high-performance synthetic rubber known for its exceptional durability and resistance to salt water, chemicals and extreme temperatures. It can withstand temperatures ranging approximately from -45°C to 300°C.
These properties make FKM an excellent material for a rubber watch strap, particularly for sports, dive and everyday watches. It combines excellent resistance with flexibility and comfort, while maintaining a refined appearance suitable for a wide range of watch styles.
How to Choose the Correct Watch Strap Size
To choose the correct replacement watch strap for your watch, you need to know its lug width. Measure the distance between the inside edges of the watch lugs where the strap attaches to the watch case.
The measurement in millimetres corresponds to the watch strap size you need. For example, if the distance between the lugs is 20mm, you should choose a 20mm watch strap. The image below shows you where to take this measurement.

How to Install a Quick-Release Watch Strap
Our replacement watch straps are supplied with integrated quick-release spring bars according to the selected size. The quick-release mechanism allows you to install or remove the strap easily without requiring a watch strap changing tool.
- Insert one end of the spring bar into the corresponding lug hole on the watch case.
- Slide the quick-release lever slightly inwards to retract the other end of the spring bar, position the strap between the lugs and release the lever until the spring bar clicks securely into place.
- Repeat the process on the other side of the watch and gently check that both parts of the strap are securely attached before wearing your watch.
